With the ocean as our backdrop in beautiful Mooloolaba, the Agri-Elevate Graduation Bootcamp marked a powerful milestone for our 2025 TEKWOMEN cohort.

The day began with reflections and warm-ups, a moment to pause and look back on 10 transformative weeks of exploring leadership, confidence, and career reinvention. From there, participants dove into the Future Work Model Canvas, a hands-on session that helped them visualise what a fractional executive or portfolio career could look like in AgriFood-Tech.

After a delicious locally sourced lunch, the energy lifted as the women “pitched their future selves” storytelling their next chapter with clarity, courage, and peer support. The room buzzed with inspiration, collaboration, and plenty of laughter.
The afternoon shifted into practical action with a LinkedIn brand refresh, guided by the F2F team. Participants explored how to position themselves authentically online, refine their About sections, and tell their professional story with confidence, finishing with new professional headshots taken by the F2F photographer.
The workshop concluded with each participant mapping their Leadership Growth Experience plans, charting the next phase of experiential learning, mentoring, and visibility opportunities to bring their goals to life.

As the sun set over the water, the TEKWOMEN welcomed the wider agrifood-tech innovation community for an evening of connection and celebration. It was a chance to recognise the achievements of these remarkable women and to look ahead to a future where more female leaders shape Queensland’s agrifood innovation ecosystem.
The following morning, a few early risers gathered for a beach walk and breakfast debrief, a fitting close to a program grounded in reflection, community, and growth.

Key Takeaways
It’s never too late to change direction. Many of the women in this cohort have shifted careers, industries, and even life stages; proving that every experience adds value. Your path may not be linear, but it’s always relevant.
Community builds confidence. Growth rarely happens in isolation. Surround yourself with peers who lift you up, challenge you, and remind you that you belong in the room (and at the table).
Curiosity opens doors. If you’re interested in a certain field or role, don’t hesitate to reach out to someone you admire for a 15-minute chat or coffee. You’ll be surprised by how generous people are when you show genuine curiosity.
Celebrate the journey. Progress isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s the quiet shift in confidence, the willingness to raise your hand, or the courage to share your story that signals true growth.
A heartfelt thank-you to Advance Queensland for sponsoring the Agri-Elevate program and supporting women across the state to step into leadership roles in AgriFood-Tech.
