Farmers2Founders (F2F) has been awarded a significant $2.985 million Future Drought Fund Scaling Success Program grant to expand its national F2F TEKFARM® platform - accelerating farmer‑led, advisor‑enabled adoption of proven agtech solutions that build drought and climate resilience across Australia.
This funding forms part of the Albanese Government’s $27 million investment to scale up drought and climate resilience projects nationally, delivered through the Future Drought Fund’s Scaling Success Program. Farmers2Founders is one of 15 projects selected to extend and scale proven initiatives that strengthen economic, environmental and social resilience across Australian agriculture.
The funding will enable F2F and its consortium partners to scale the impact of the 2023–25 TEKFARM project, which supported hundreds of producers to identify real on‑farm challenges and match them with practical, evidence‑based technologies.
“Farmers are telling us they want technology that genuinely solves problems, fits their system, and delivers value,” said Dr Christine Pitt, Managing Director of Farmers2Founders. “This grant allows us to take what worked so well in the first TEKFARM project and scale it nationally - more farmers, more advisors, more regions, and a stronger evidence base for technologies that improve drought resilience.”
What the F2F TEKFARM Scaling Success project will deliver
Over the next two years, the TEKFARM project for Scaling Success will:
Engage 700+ farmers through regional, farmer‑led clusters;
Expand the National Advisor Network to more than 100 advisors;
Facilitate 400+ technology deployments matched to curated producer challenges;
Build a robust, data‑driven evidence base demonstrating the impact of proven agtech;
Strengthen collaboration across farming systems groups, advisors, tech suppliers, First Nations partners and regional communities;
Extend TEKFARM into new geographies, industries and production systems.
The project will continue to champion F2F’s signature approach: producer‑led, advisor‑enabled, tech‑integrated, ensuring farmers remain at the centre of decision‑making and adoption.
Strong National Collaboration
The TEKFARM project for Scaling Success is delivered through a consortium of 10 leading organisations and partners.
“This is a truly collaborative effort,” Dr Pitt said. “Our partners bring deep regional knowledge, strong producer networks, and specialist expertise that will help us scale impact in a way that is practical, inclusive and grounded in real farming challenges.”
Building Resilience for The Long Term
The expanded F2F TEKFARM program directly supports the Future Drought Fund’s goals of strengthening economic, environmental and social resilience across Australian agriculture.
“Producers are facing more complex climate pressures than ever,” Dr Pitt said. “By scaling proven innovations and building strong advisor and peer‑learning networks, we’re helping farmers adopt technologies that improve productivity, sustainability and resilience — not just for today, but for the future.”
Farmers2Founders encourages producers, advisors and agtech companies to join the next phase of TEKFARM and to be part of this national scaling effort - from participating in regional farmer-led clusters to trialling proven technologies or contributing advisory capability. Further details will be shared through Farmers2Founders’ channels.
