Joy McClymont

About

Based 120kms west of Longreach in Western Queensland in a sheep and cattle grazing property, Joy McClymont has spent the majority of her life revolved around participating in a variety of sports, ensuring she is physically fit and active. This led her to gaining formal qualifications and experience establishing a virtual health and fitness business from her remote location for the past 15 years.

The Idea

Whilst Joy hopes to continue her venture in supporting a community through providing the resources and support. She is looking for the tools and advice to scale and expand her services as well as streamline processes. Due to her involvement in this business and her family’s, one of her challenges is connecting with experts and mentors to gain insight on all aspects of her business currently and in the future. Joy is also limited by her number of hours in the day to make the widespread impact that she desires.

"Hatch provided stimulation and process to define my business direction"

What's Next?

Joy is keen to progress to the Hone program and plans to work on business and technical development. Specifically, she will collaborate with a development team to research needs of rural health and fitness providers, establish a baseline cost structure and progress the technical development of her digital solution.
