VC Investors

Eligibility

This Farmers2Founders Accelerator is open to Seed-Series A,  agrifood-tech companies with high potential for scalability and global expansion.

Your business must be solving challenges in the agrifood sector with a strong technology base and defendable IP.  We strongly encourage you to be building a diverse team. 

The minimum eligibility criteria includes:

  • The Founder(s) must be working exclusively on their agrifood-tech business and at least one founder can commit to the program full time

  • The founding team has relevant expertise and a growth mindset

  • The business needs to have a functioning product ("Beta" version, at a minimum), you have validated your solution and acquired initial customers

  • The company has demonstrable traction, such as growing revenue, customer base or key partnerships

  • Your business has a clear path for growth with a scalable product or service

  • You are either currently raising or preparing to raise in the next 6 months

Real Talk From Our Alumni

LB Agtech

Anyone can have ideas. Most of us are quite ordinary—we make ordinary attempts, take ordinary approaches, and most of the time, we quit. We quit because we run out of funds, because we don’t know the right way, because we don’t understand the market, or simply because the timing isn’t right. Maybe we started off quite ordinary too. But in 2022, we met F2F and Hatchtek for the first time, and it became a journey of breaking through those ordinary ways of thinking. It wasn’t just about sitting in lectures; seeing other Agtech startups around us really challenged us. Some were clearly extraordinary, while others were undeniably ordinary. It sparked something in us, and we worked hard to break free from my own ordinariness. The following year, we reunited with F2F and Honetek. In the meantime, we had been battered, disappointed, challenged, and developed, thinking we’d climbed some way up the mountain. But we soon realised we were still only slightly less ordinary. Ideas were still hard to commercialise, and we were still struggling to simplify complex theories while constantly breaking down and refining our work. We kept telling ourselves, “This time, we’ve got it. This time, it’ll work.” Yet hope kept teasing us, just beyond our grasp. By the end of Honetek, another realisation hit us, and I had to overcome the temptation to stop. As always, every time I pushed through a development barrier, we glimpsed a glimmer of hope that kept us tied to this path. Eventually, we had a product. Then customers. Then revenue. Looking back, if I’d known how hard and far this journey would be, I wonder if I’d have taken the first step. It was around that time we joined the QLD VCDF Accelerator cohort. By then, we felt we were no longer ordinary, but now we had to prove it. And proving it was even tougher. Meeting real investors taught us that the line between hope and despair is razor-thin. Yet somehow, we kept walking, driven by the hope that lingered just ahead. The past three years with F2F have perfectly mirrored the journey of our company. Even now, we’re fighting to shed our ordinariness and gain recognition in the market. But looking back, I can only feel gratitude. So many connections we made through F2F have led to more connections, which in turn built us into who we are today. To me, F2F has been both a pacemaker and a friend. It has walked with me on this lonely road as an Agtech founder, where no one notices or cares. It listened to my story, never demanded anything difficult from me, never sent an invoice that would have scared me. Today, I’m still walking this road. But I know I’m not alone. And one day, I hope to become a friend and pacemaker for someone else. Our work isn’t finished, but the graph we’ve been drawing so far has clearly been on an upward trajectory. We haven’t given up, and we’re still building that upward graph. That’s why I’m so excited for 2025. And I hope our success will fulfil the very purpose for which F2F was created. Thank you.
